I recently launched a web app (qurantracker.com) and I have a question about the ratio of unactivated users. You have to register an account which needs to be activated by clicking on an activation link that gets emailed to the email address that you register with.
Currently I have just over 15% of registered users who don’t activate their account. I know there could be several reasons for not activating accounts but I was wondering if this ratio is normal and what can be done to reduce the number of unactivated users. At the moment I am emailing unactivated users directly in case the activation email didn’t get to them.
Any advice/ideas would be much appreciated.
