UL & LI components do not show

I have a small div that goes from display:none to display block when the user click on the “share” link.
It works, great. However the content of the box do not show.
I see no reason as to that why that would be. Could I get some advice on it?

hmm ok semi fixed it. (sorry still early here)

All right, Got the images to show, but even though i have in my code for the mouse to be a pointer. It remains an arrow.
& the links do not work?
Suggestions why?

You need cursor:pointer not mouse:pointer :smile:

.socialList li a{display:block}

html {
	font-family: sans-serif;
	-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;
	-ms-text-size-adjust:     100%;
	height: 100%;
	background-color: #fafafa;
	background-color: rgba(250, 250, 250, .8);
	background: url(imgs/left.png)left repeat-y top, url(imgs/right.png)right repeat-y top;

Hey, Sherpa-girl, have you given your page a run through the HTML validator?

There seem to be some fairly hefty problems starting with the script before the doctype.

funny you should ask!
yes. & also again just as i got this message. :smile:
I was going through the errors and they seem to be primarly realted to the google tag for google analytics.
I was getting the sameish error yesterday when i used the google analytics .js

the feed is part of the _s theme.
As i was reading down the errors I don’t see open tags or anything i did. So trying to see how I can resolve this. I also run the css through http://csslint.net/

definitely need to thanks sitepoint forums for making me go look up validator on a regular basis :slight_smile:

& i see several other errors created by the rss feed items…

all right got rid of all but one error and one warning.
Neither should affect the background images or the menu list elements not showing up inline.

Try these styles on your page to fix the menu at desktop widths. If you need help with narrower widths (media queries), holler.

I did not try to figure out why the banner image is slow to load. It’s progbably the loading order… I just didn’t spend the time. If we can fix the menu, then we’ll go for the banner image.

(line 780)

.main-navigation li {
    display: inline-block;
    width: 80px;
    height: 80px;
    background-color: #fff;
    border-radius: 7px;
    box-shadow: 1px 1px 2px 0 rgba(50, 50, 50, 0.35);
/* position: relative; /* DELETE Me! list items should not be relative in this layout */
    padding: 0;
    margin: 5px;

(line 813)

.main-navigation ul ul {
/* float: left; /* DELETE Me! Unnecessary; {position:absolute} negates float. */
    position: absolute;
    top: 84px;
    left: -999em;
    padding: 4px;
    margin-left: 8px;
/*    z-index: 99999;  /* DELETE Me! Unnecessary */
