Hey everyone use caution when using your Twitter marketing software. I just have one of my Twitter accounts shut down because of aggressive following. They are really cracking down.
Anyone undertaking “aggressive following” SHOULD be shut down.
Massive following is not good, you can be seen as a spammer and you wont have any benefit from twitter.
Twitter is not a search engine optimization tool.
Twitter is not a tool for you to make money.
Twitter is not a source of backlinks.
Twitter is a communication tool for either personal or business use. There are legitimate uses of the system for businesses such as addressing customers who may be venting or raving about your product. Too often people attempt to use social networks such as Twitter to gain traffic for their website/product/service and end up spamming and abusing the system. Aggressive following is one of the more common examples.
I applaud Twitter for cracking down on aggressive following.
I concur - I was thinking this when I wrote my earlier reply but too lazy to write it out - glad you did 
Seems that we have to repeat this mantra again and again on the forums.
