Trying to line up some crazy <div> tags .. need some help

I am pulling my hair out on this one. I have some div tags that will not cooperate. Basically, I am trying to create a section in my main content area that shows flickr photos and youtube videos. Here are the problems I am having with the css…

  1. These items should stretch across the entire content area (which is 710px, and has a light grey background).

  2. The bottom part on the video section seems to be missing…it is there on the photo section, as you can clearly see.

Thanks!

Seems like no matter what I try in the css, that image in the “Flickr Photos” section will not go where it is supposed to go. I can see that it is trying to line up with the small logo image above it, but they should not be affected by the same css.

Got a feeling that its aligning centrally within the containing div but cannot see why or how to resolve it.

Neither can I. Can anyone see what is going on here?

Yes, it was a stray div, but i found it and it is now correct. There is one strange thing, however…the actual photo in the photos section is not lined up correctly…it is sticking out to the right a few pixels. All I did was shrink it, and the top and bottom of the section by 5 px.

If it is the div class=“mainvideo-bottom” then there does not seem to be any css styling rules associated with it. Is there a stray closing div </div> before it? which is taking the div outside the containing div.

I am looking at your home page. Is that the right one? If not can you post the url.

#1 is solved. – I moved that section to the correct div …duh, my bad. Caught my own mistake on that one.

To clarify #2… What i am referring to is the grey box at the bottom of the videos section. If you look at the photos section, there is a grey box at the bottom…but it i missing on the video.

<div id=“videos-photos-area”> which has a width of 710px sits within <div id=“mainblog-right-column”> which has a width of only 510px. Basically there isn’t 710 pixels there.

I assume you mean right part not bottom part. The bit not being seen is the bit between 710px and 510px.
