Trouble repeating bg image

Hi, I’m trying to repeat a jpg image for the entire background of my site but I can’t figure out why it’s not working. For some reason, it’s only showing up at the top.

Site:

www.4mulaevents.ca

CSS I’m using:

body{
	color: #4d4d4d;
	font-family: Georgia, serif;
	font-size: 14px;
	line-height: 24px;
background-image:url('http://4mulaevents.ca/images/bgrepeat.jpg');
background-repeat:repeat-y;
background-repeat:repeat-x;
}

There are two style sheets, so maybe I should be updating the more specific one, (black.css) but when I change it, nothing seems to happen. CSS I’m using for that:

body, #page, #columns, #header {
	background-color: #111;
	color: #999;
}

body{

background-image:url('http://4mulaevents.ca/images/bgrepeat.jpg');
background-repeat:repeat-y;
background-repeat:repeat-x;
}

Simple fix?

thx

The problem is here:

background-repeat:repeat-y;
background-repeat:repeat-x;

The second line is overriding the first line so you end up with just repeat-x
If you want the image to repeat both horizontally and vertically, use

background-repeat:repeat;

Also, you can combine the background-image and background-repeat into one:

background: url('http://4mulaevents.ca/images/bgrepeat.jpg') repeat;

Moreover, since “repeat” is the default value for background-repeat, you can even leave it out completely :slight_smile:

haha awesome, thanks.

This is what it was like

Me:

Why didn’t anyone invite me to the party on Friday?

You:

Well it was a spur of the moment party so a few people didn’t hear about it.

Anddd, you actually kind of smell.

Nobody likes you.
