The reason no one is searching for your website by name is because nobody knows that your site exists. There are many other websites offering similar services, and the ones that rank for generic keywords will get the most traffic from search engines.
SEO is a very gradual process, if you promote your content effectively, you will begin to rank for more and more keywords every month and you will slowly become an authority in your niche. Given that you have chosen the field of “travel”, you should be patient, because you will have a lot of competition.
The only backlinks worth having anymore are those from guest blog posts (and of course real backlinks where people are referencing your content). If you are promoting your site with backlinks, do not bother with any forms of link building that are easily spammed, guest posts and article marketing are the strongest backlinks you can find.
If you want to see quick traffic, I would recommend getting into the heads of the people who you are trying to target and thinking about where they would be when they are looking for information that you wish would lead to your website.
Maybe they are asking a question on Yahoo Answers, maybe they are posting in a particular forum, or maybe you want to pay for Google ads so they see your site when they do a search.
Squidoo lenses are great for ranking long-tail keywords quickly, and they will get a good bit of traffic if you are adamant about updating the lens.
If you have good videos, a video on your homepage (or another landing page) to convert users will be much more effective than posting one on Youtube. It would be doubly effective if you could use the same video for both or if you used more than one video.
SEO can bring you visitors but not leads. So you should optimize landing page. Improve User experience of landing page. Study about landing page optimization and implement it
this is tough, but i think we all have done this before (have a website on page 1 on google and not make a penny) I would suggest writing a couple of press releases at this point, and if that does not work… I say begin your marketing plan all over again because often you may done everything right but just not enough of it.

I didn’t do much seo activities and got good ranking. I afraid if i can do press release, bcoz i read some of webmasters experience and they lost ranking due to press release, classifed ads, forum posting etc…I must need to know authentic way for ranking and leads, don’t want to lose my ranking.
Traffic and leads are two different thing. If you want leads you must have to create good niche related back link.
Take care of your keyword, for travel site keyword is very effective.
You can do all of the tasks as they are very helpful for increasing the rank and traffic. But for generating leads and queries, you need to take part in the discussions, participate in the communities and post relevant content to the group and answer the questions of Yahoo Answers.
Any web developer seriously looking for leads I can tell you that I have found a lead source where they are sent to me everyday and more than I can possibly book. Instead of waiting for your website to start bringing in the leads you should be more pro active. For example, and before you write it off, I use craigslist and to be honest the leads I get from there by using my system is enough to support several hundred web development firms. As I am new to the site I do not want to be in violation of their policy here so I would ask that the owners of the site contact me so that I can show them what I do througha screen sharing session. After showing them, and with their approval I would be happy to share with other web developers as there is not way I can use them all. Also, it is not just for web development but for many other service related ie logo design, remote maintenance, template design, and so many others. I can honestly say aside from the referrals I get from pre-existing clients this is the only source I use and the only decision I have to make is how hard to I want to work this month. i guess you need to create a couple of accounts on different social networking sites , in this case you’ll be able to connect them by adding and publishing your content in all the accounts , hope this helps

I think you should start with off page activities e.g directory submissions, social bookmarkings articles submissions or your can do blog commenting, forum postings. I dont think its harmful for site but only when you use quality sites like high PR, Dofollow.
