Tools of the trade? on and off page seo

Google Analytics is good but one thing I can’t get working is a keyword position logging… I think this feature (example seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/keyword-position.html) should be an easy thing to set up but I had difficulty in making the filter with the correct regex…

A tool which I am sceptical of using but it does have some benefits is this getseobot.com it logs keyword positions every week and it lets you do on site optimization within the bot control panel… The bad thing about this is the link exchange it creates and the inability to update the mark up which is tables based. Another downside is the free version limits you to 5 keywords… If only Google Analytics had the ability to log the keyword positions :frowning:

I also tried the seomoz rank tracker seomoz.org/rank-tracker but the reports it produced didn’t look right I might of done something wrong and should probably revisit it…

I am curious though… what does everyone else uses for keyword logging and what do you think of the getseobot tool?

Manual Work is always better. Software sometimes deceives.

Webmaster tools can show you the different keyword positions (ranks) for your site.

I use the Ran tracker tool and for my abilities it works pretty well.

link-assistant.com/rank-tracker ?

I use SeoMoz tools to optimize my websites. I have noticed that their rankings can be different than mine, but that’s usually because my browser, and google, as stored some data to help me find the website I’m looking for. A refresh of my browser, and it usually pops up where the tools said it would.

I use Advanced Web Rankings for the checking the ranking of the keywords that I target.

I don’t use any tool for the checking of ranking of keywords. They are not accurate. I manually check the ranking of keywords and it is best.
