I am trying to make my website’s title tag consistent with all the NAP listings I have on various social media sites and business directories, but I am trying to find out what the best practice is.
On my website I have it as (eg) “My Business Name | Physiotherapy London”
On Google Local, Facebook, Yelp, etc it is just “My Business Name”
I want them to be both the same, but which is best? The one that mentions what I do and the city, or the one that simply states the business name?
Thanks. I’m asking really about the homepage. I am using different title tags on the site’s other pages which identify what they are about.
So for the home page, and for all the directories and social media sies i am on, does mentioning what I do and the city, as well as the business name, benefit my local seo or is it seen as spammy?
Search engines are more concerned about the contents of the actual page when returning relevant results to their users. So if it mentions the business is located in London in the body of the page, that should be fine.
Good question. Be specific with the keywords or phrase you use in the webpage. Best to use is “My Business Name | Physiotherapy London”, which could be more specific to target.
