“This is a permanent error.” Is that for the email or the message?

I’m wondering whether it’s safe or not to mark bounce messages containing “This is a permanent error.” string from the first time as hard bounce and delete the email.

When I get “This is a permanent error.” doesn’t mean “permanent error” for this message or for the user?

Please clarify.

That simply means the server has ceased trying to deliver that email message.
With some types of errors the server will try again later - and the error message you receive indicates that it will retry.

This one is like Jedi, “Deliver or deliver not. There is no Try”
