Thankyou page close window link not good

Hi from 19 degrees C cloudy Wakefield UK :frowning:

On this page:
http://www.pauserefreshment.co.uk/frontpage_draft.html
there is a “Order a brochure button”.
When you click on this it lands on a form to fill out. When thats completed and the order brochure button is selected the thank you page arrives as planned. But its here the problem lies…

Specifically the problem surfaces when on this page:
http://www.pauserefreshment.co.uk/brochure_confirmation.html
you click on close window. When you click on close window you end up with a window of the home page sitting ontop of the home page, not good. As illustrated in screen grab 2.

What I really want to happen is when the “close this page link” is clicked on
one window of the home page is appears and not one version on top of another.

I tried to find an inline Javascript solution but no luck. I hope Ive described this adequately.

Heres the code of the thank you page:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>Thank yoy brochure confirmation</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/brochure_form.css">
</head>
<body>
  <div id="thankyou">
    <h1>Thank you</h1>
    <p>We've got your coffee machine brochure request covered!</p>
    <p>You'll receive your brochure(s) in the post shortly.</p>
    <h2><a href="index.html" title="Close page and return to home" target="_parent">Close this page</a></h2>
    <!-- end #mainContent -->
  </div>
  <!-- end #container -->
</body>
</html>

Any insights welcome :slight_smile:

Javascript ditched, used html links instead :slight_smile:
