I am very new to MySQL, I’m trying to add the MySQL command prompt for MAMP for Mac and it says to open a Terminal window. It gives me the command lines to type in I’m just not sure what it mean by open up a Terminal window, so where do I type the command lines in the Terminal window?

Terminal is a program on your Mac, which you can open by going to Applications > Utilities > Terminal. If it’s something you will use often, drag the application icon from here to your dock so that you can easily access it with one click in the future.
