As far as I know, it’s done with javascript, so I asked your post to be moved to the javascript forum. That way you’ll have a better chance of getting an answer to your question.
That’s very high level JavaScript they use even if was stripped down, in my personal opinion you would be better of building your project in PHP and JavaScript to share the control as it would be a very long term learning experience if your still new to JavaScript.
