Supporting Clients, the right way!

Supporting clients is by far the most important aspect of any website.

Now what concerns me is the correct way to go about this. This issue, in my opinion is one of the main pressing issues of web design! I hate to say this, but designing website is just about half the job, the other half is the money and time management.

I have my own approach, which I’ve manage to sell to clients, however, I’d like to hear from others here.

PS: I always compare my job to a mechanic, it makes selling support much easier. The most important this is a refined process to your business in reducing possible head aches.

A few, very important, ideas I use as a personal mantra:

Under-commit and Over-deliver.
Manage your time carefully.
Always (always) BE HONEST. It means “falling on your sword” sometimes but your integrity - which is like virginity in that you can never get it back once it is lost - will remain intact.

Honesty and Transparency are the keywords for me.
