Is there any danger in submitting to directories?
I mean there’re list of free and other directories and can I just add my site to them or should I take care of something?
There’s no real danger - just no real benefit (barring a few exceptions).
This sort of activity should be reserved when you’ve exhausted all other methods of establishing a back-link portfolio.

Nope, you don’t have to worry about submitting to directories at all. Just make sure you follow the rules of the directories.
