Strange problem with wordpress files

I was running wprobot and the plugin stopped yesterday… Now I updated and there is no changes… I am using FTP… I deleted the old one via ftp but still it is available inside my wpadmin. I deleted the file via control panel but still it is available in my wpadmin…

I deleted all plugins and theme through FTP and checked it via control panel… still available inside my wpadmin!!!

I deleted the whole blog and uninstalled it via fantastico, removed my domain from my server, still the blog is online!!!

This is very strange problem… how come the site is still online after I deleted everything? I checked via proxy and yes, it is still online so I don’t think the problem is my cookies and cached…

I installed another blog on the same server, uploaded the files via ftp, checked it inside control panel and all files are there… bit not inside my wp-admin… nothing is changing…

Do you think it’s server problem? I’m still waiting for response from my hosting support… thanks

It’s a known issue on some servers. Please contact your hosting provider and ask to fix file ownership for ALL files under your account. Then try deleting files again.

LOL… My support told me they migrated to new server…I was using IP when logging into ftp and cpanel so I was still uploading files to old server… that was the problem… problem solved now… :slight_smile:

It’s strange that you were not informed about migration… Anyways, good to hear everything is OK now
