Not sure if this is the best place to post this. If not please feel free to delete it or move it to the appropriate forum. I have installed squid on my Windows 8 laptop and want to use it as my proxy server. I have succeeded in getting it to prompt for a password when accessing websites, but not to use a whitelist. For some reason, I can’t get the tutorials I found on the net to work either they are wrong or something else in the default config file is preventing squid from blocking websites.
