SQL import to Excel 2007

Hello,

I’ve read posts and searched how I would be able to import Excel to SQL, but how would I import SQL to Excel?

When i’m in Excel i go to Data>>From Other Sources>>From SQL Server.
In the Server name i’ve enter the IP address but, i can never bypass this screen. I receive this error when i use either log on credentials:

“[[DBNETLIB]][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.”

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or am i not able to import from a remote access? Many thanks in advance :slight_smile:

You can import just about any SELECT query if you can hit the server, but it sounds like you can’t access the server directly. I’d get with the persons responsible for networking and the server and figure out why.
