Speed up program loading

Do you think disk cleanup can speed up program loading?

No. It won’t.

If you clean up and defragment your disk, maybe a little. But don’t expect any significant results.

Yes, disk cleanup can actually speed up program loading. You see, when the hard drive of your computer is almost full, its performance and load times dramatically suffer because there is less space for the operating system. So, you need a disk cleanup utility.

Um, no. Less space does not make loading slower. The only impact it has is when writing files and the free spaces are shuffled about (Fragmentation). It has no impact when reading files, you can have a Hard Drive filled to capacity and it will still read a file with the same level of performance. Pulling a program into memory (RAM) will be the same regardless how much space is used on the Hard Drive.

No, Disk Cleanup will NOT speed up program loading. Aside, Windows Vista and 7 already have mechanisms to help with that, SuperFetch.
