Spam solution - gmail spam filter

First you need to enable on your gmail account IMAP.
2.
You put IMAP settings In Outlook Express

You add to Outlook Messages Rules:
Tool/Messages Rules/Mail…
1st rule: Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the From line contains ‘youraccount@gmail.com’
Stop processing more rules
2nd rule:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
For all messages
Forward it to youraccount@gmail.com

I tested it and it works. But I am worried how risk is this. I have quite important e-mails and I can not lose any e-mail. I am not talking about getting email in a spam folder but about loosing it. Do you think it exist a higher risk if I use this method?

It’s not like Google deletes your spam e-mails. If you’re concerned then just check your spam filter on a regular basis.

It worked for me too. It’s not much a risk been using this technique for quite some time now. No harm yet. Rest luck.:stuck_out_tongue:

People still use Outlook Express?
