Sounds working on my Media Classic Player, not youtube though

Exactly what the title says. It just stopped working suddenly.

If anyone needs to know any information I can do that :). I’m just not sure whta to give.

ALso, the volumne icon in my task bar says

There are no active mixers avaialable. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware.

This program will now close

I should mention that that option isn’t there…I have Printers and Faxes in the control panel, however not that specific option. Even if I go into there I don’t see an Add Hardware button.

Uninstall your sound card… restart and then reinstall the drivers and mixer software (if any).

I would probably agree with shoaaib.

But - do you get sound in iTunes/Media Player 10 or 11/VLC?

I get system sounds and in my media player.

Restarting my computer has solved the issue.

Weird but whatever. Thanks guys :-).
