Well there is one site related to webhosting(with country tld domain) which was ranked #1 or #2 for many keywords from quite long time now
event 1:
I use the design was old so changed to new design(most content were old)-However i have maintained most url and its structure…same rewrite structure…file names and so on
and the server changed as well…(new server)
event 2:
my designer put
meta noindex
and
visit after 3 months meta
…and uploaded the file-new design.(i was busy in sth else)
I found it ,removed it after a week.
now the ranking of the site is gone…
the site seems to have been indexed 1st week of august by google…
now i am investigating the things.
But what may be the cause of my vanishing form serp?
change in ip of server
changed interface
foolish act of my designer
i have changed all the meta even changed title to original ones,is there any thing i can do other than waiting?
So you changed IP. That could take your rank down… did you use a 301 redirect from the old IP to the new?
Moving servers always affects ranking but if you wait a bit it will go up again. The site needs to be re-indexed. Still, if you have your 301 redirect Google will know that it is a change and it will rank more accordingly by using the old data too. Else, it will think that it is a brand new site.
Of course, the changes in the text and content also affect… as its relevancy needs to be recalculated.

Are you sure about Google indexing the site by IP? bcz i heard that Google or other SEs are ranking or indexing by the domain name and the ranking or indexing will not change even by change host…
According to me frank1 issue may be by changing the links , the meta tag (non index) and content ( may be density, quality , duplication )
How Google does things is a mystery itself But the convenience of using 301 redirects to avoid this type of problems when you changed your host (which it may be same company but different server and this means IP in 99% of the times) it is documented in their blog. I may have changed but I’m pretty sure.
