[SOLVED] How come when you highlight the text it goes over where the text stops?

Code wasn’t properly aligned.

I just tried it on Chrome and don’t get that effect at all. Which browser are you using?

firefox latest version.

It doesn’t do it in internet explorer 11 either, that’s strange. How come only firefox?

reasons…

A question for Mozilla I’d suggest, or maybe you found a bug you could report to them.

How come it doesn’t do it on this text?

I can’t answer that question. I’m not using Firefox myself.

asasass,

Are you highlighting the text by clicking and dragging your cursor over it?

yes.

And the problem that you are reporting is what? … that the highlight color is a light blue backgound behind white text instead of a white background behind dark-blue text?

no, that the highlight color goes past, over where the text comes to a stop.

The highlight extends past the end of the text because the anonymous text box is inline and there is normally a word-space before the next inline element. That normal word-space is what you are seeing.

EDIT: The above is wrong. The cause of the space was actual space to the right of the last text character.

Home come that doesn’t appear on internet explorer 11? And his Chrome?

I don’t know. Browser differences, I would guess.

I fixed it, I didn’t have the code properly aligned. That did it.

Good for you! I just noticed the space in the code and was just about to test that very thing but had to respond to another of your posts first.
