I have a simple web app, written in PHP
I’d like users to be able to sms short codes to the web app and for it to take that and run some code (updating mysql)
Are there any free services that I could use to do this?

ha, just looked at the FAQ and “all you need is a valid indian mobile number”.
Also it just isn’t easy to see what service it is offering, I wouldn’t feel very comfortable encouraging my client to enter his info here to use SMS for his site.
