To celebrate the launch of our new Alibaba Cloud Services Community Forum, we’re giving you the chance to win some AMAZING prizes - that got your attention!

To enter the competition and be in with a chance to win a Macbook Pro and $2,000 in Alibaba Cloud credit (first prize), plus a bunch of other cool stuff, all you need to do is simply describe your best original mini-tutorial for making the most out of Alibaba Cloud services – in 500-1000 words in the new community forum. You can try Alibaba Cloud Services by signing up for a free trial (value: $300-$1200 USD).

The Details

  • Entries must be between 500-1000 words

  • Entries must be submitted as a post in the Alibaba Cloud Services Community Forum

  • Tag your entry alibaba-competition

  • Your entry can cover (but not limited to) the following topics:

    • Best practices for cloud setups

    • Linux server configuration tips

    • Application deployment tips for optimal setups

    • Database configuration tips

    • Cloud performance tips (e.g. load balancing and redundancy)

    • Networking tips (e.g. security, Virtual Private Clouds, dynamic DNS)

    • General DevOps tips on Alibaba Cloud infrastructure

  • You may submit as many entries as you wish.

  • Entries close at 11.59pm October 3rd, 2018 PST (we’ve extended the entry period!)

  • Winners will be announced by October 15th, 2018 PST on SitePoint.com

  • Entries will be judged against the following criteria:

    • User engagement, which includes but is not limited to likes, comments and replies, will comprise 20%

    • Technical expertise, helpfulness and proficiency as determined by our judge(s) will comprise 80%

  • Prizes will consist of the following:

    • First prize: a Macbook Pro + $2,000 in Alibaba Cloud credit

    • Second prize: an iPhone X + $1,000 in Alibaba Cloud credit

    • Third prize: an iPad Pro + $500 in Alibaba Cloud credit

Are you sure when i win i can take the price? because i’m not at europe and usa.

Did you read the competition rules? There is no requirement for entrants to be resident in Europe or USA.

1. Eligibility:

This Campaign is open only to those who sign up at the www.sitepoint.com/alibaba-competition and who are 16 as of the date of entry. Employees of SitePoint, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the Campaign. The Campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

You’d need to make your own judgement on whether any local laws would prohibit your participation.

Just to clarify, for anybody wondering, there is no limit on the number of entries you may submit. So if you have several great ideas and can’t decide between them - enter them all!
