Hi,
Is there any way to determine why a sitemap is not being read? According to Google Search Console, that one hasn’t been read since January 14th, and changes have been made.
maybe GS need more time to check. or you submit again

it will automatically updated mine take 6 months or more to get updated.
I just checked out about 12 other domains on the search console and they have all been read once during the last 7 days. Except that one !
This happens sometimes.
Just delete it and resubmit it.

It could just be a delay on Google’s side — you might want to resubmit the sitemap and give it a bit more time to update.

Check if the sitemap URL is correct, returns a 200 status, and is not blocked by robots.txt. Validate the XML format, then resubmit it in Google Search Console. Also, check server logs to see if Googlebot tried crawling it recently.
Done and dusted.
