Signing up for Goog Analytics

As a web developer, when my clients say they want google analytics installed on their site, do they have to sign up for a google analytics accounts or do I just keep using my own? How does this work?

Google Analytics is a free web analytics tool that provides in-depth reporting on your website usage and online marketing activities.

Follow these simple steps to set up your Analytics account today:

Sign in to your AdWords account at
Visit the Reporting tab and click “Google Analytics.”
Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account.
If you use Google Analytics and AdWords together, you’ll enjoy more visibility into the return on investment (ROI) you’re getting from your AdWords budget. When linked to your AdWords account, Analytics will automatically track the behavior of visitors coming from your ads. This insight allows you to not only gauge the ROI of your AdWords budget, but also make informed decisions about changes or improvements to your AdWords account.

Your clients should create their own account and assign you administrative access so you can manage it but allow them to “own” their data for the future.
