I have used sIFR many times before and never encountered an issue like this.
When I export the sifr.fla file it does not replace the font correctly, it simply appears as blank. I know there is no issue with any of the CSS or HTML as i have used a previously exported swf from another job on this current site and it replaces the text fine. So there has to be a problem with the export of the .fla (from my understanding).
The even stranger thing is that if I do a straight export of sifr.fla without changing the font from the pre-set Verdana it works fine, replacing it with Verdana.
I have tried with sIFR 2 and 2.0.7 with the same results. I have tried it with several different fonts, Opentype, Truetype, system fonts and fonts which I have installed, nothing works except for the standard Verdana, or previously exported fla’s.
I have tried everything I can think of.
The only thing I am leaning towards is that I have recently upgraded to Flash CS5 and have not used it before with sIFR, so maybe an issue with CS5. But that doesn’t really make sense as it will export Verdana fine if I don’t alter the original sifr.fla and just export.
My only other thought is that it may be some issue with the font type. Yet Verdana which works fine is Opentype, other Opentype fonts wont work…
As you can see, I am completely stumped.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
