I’m having trouble with webdesign, I simply can’t get the concept, or a tight grip on it.
Can some of you share links to your favourite and best webdesign tutorials out there?

You might need to give us a few more clues as to what exactly you’re looking for, if there are any specific things that you’re having trouble with. Web design is a pretty broad field…
I meant the part from content–>sketch–>psd
none of the html or css or javascript or anything that follows that.
The PSD phase should come way later in the process - long after the HTML and CSS phase.
The phases are a very much argued thing, they are extremely varied and depend on a lot of factors, in reality they are even inter-lapping with other other phases (this doc seems to have a good example), but that’s not what I’m asking, it does not matter when this phase happens, it’s important that it happens at some point, the phase that involves designing the look and feel of a website using known content.
I have trouble finding any good tutorials that teach the aspects of webdesign from a graphical designer standpoint, so any links would be appreciated.

This recent SitePoint book is worth a gander:
The Principles of Beautiful Web Design, Second Edition by Jason Beaird
Also, I find the best inspiration is from looking at sites I like and studying what it is about them that makes them appealing, and considering why the designer chose that look for that content.
I keep links to these sites in various categories, so that when I come to a project I can look at what others have done in this area and draw inspiration.
