SEO Companies Relationship with Search Engine

Can SEO companies really have special relationships with the search engines like some of them claim?

Depends, what kind of special relationships do you mean?

It’s quite possible that they’ve been trained by the Search Engines, or have taken part in a Partner program.
But that will not affect their results at all (except for that they might be better than other companies).

Not to my knowledge. If Google offered an actual SEO program that would help me learn to rank better I’d sign up like a shot.

Never going to happen…

Some actually do enjoy a special relationship with Google and do get information that others do not.

Google does have small “conferences” that are by invitation only.

These things are often SMALL (as in 20 to 50 people at the most) and certain things are shared at them not otherwise shared with the general public.

Now that I’ve said that … NOT ONE SINGLE person or company that has ever been to one would SAY very much about it because an NDA is signed. If you want to be invited back, you’ll keep your stupid mouth shut about it.

My point here is that anyone CLAIMING to have a “special relationship” with google almost certainly has nothing of the sort.

Hope this helps.

On the otherside if Google has some special relationship with SEO firms then Google will lose its creditability.
Even Matt Cutt gives suggestion on the impact of algorithm and nothing much in detail

There are some SEOs (Danny Sullivan, Rand Fishkin, etc.) who have personal relationships with Search Engine employees and they sometimes get the inside scoop before the public, but I do not believe they have any extra advantage in the rankings.

It doesn’t help them rank better so what does it actually mean? I could stalk Matt Cutts and claim a special relationship, won’t help me perform better in the SERP though.

Short answer for this is - NO.

Search engines are not biased… Though, its been said that SEs favor big websites… But, I believe its all about authority these websites have earned.

And, the SEO service providers who claim to have relationships with SEs are tricksters.

Organic is organic, no relationship is going to help in attain a high ranking in organic results.

Yeah exactly. Google aren’t being biased, they’re favouring sites they think they can trust because that improves the quality of their own product which of course is the search results. Those sites don’t have a special relationship with Google though, and neither does anyone else.

No, there is no such thing that some SEO companies have nay kind of relationship with search engine to give them any SEO and web marketing benefit.

Even they have special relationship doesn’t mean that they will get better productivity toward SEO.
For those SEO company that do have Google Certified partner is only a cert that allow them to show their professional and gain trust toward customers.

If Google doesn’t give any SEO budge to large corps who have millions in PPC campaigns, I doubt they’d have anthing special in place for SEO companies. But I agree with the comments about certain individuals in the SEO community, connected to Cutts, receiving info earlier than most of us, it’s not enough to give them an advantage.

I do believe that they can be a SEM partner in some form though. But not with SEO, apart from whats mentioned above.

Well! Even I would too agree with this and say practically “NO” to this. But yes companies can be partners with Search Engines like Google. Like they can be Premier SME partners.
