Selecting computer for windows 2008 server to run IIS

I have a VMWARE virtual appliance (windows 2008 server with IIS) running on Intel quard core processor with 6GB Ram

but its running slow for heavy multithreaded ASP .Net services

I am trying to move the vmware image to faster computer

If i can get some advice on selecting a better computer, that will be great help for me

My budget is less than $1,500

I am interest in this desktop computer, so I can use it for my every day home office work and run server using vmware workstation in background

You would probably be wanting to look at workstations that have dual CPUs. I do not mean cores but actual dual CPUs.

thanks for the advice logic_earth, so far I was unable to find workstation with dual CPUs for around $1,500
