Search Engine Cache Expiration Time

Hi guys and girls,

My domain name expired (duh!) and I now want a new one but keep the same content as before.

How long is the current content to stay in the search engine caches. I obviously am asking this because I don´t want the entire new domain name to be classed as duplicate content.

Also, because the name has expired I can´t tell the search engines the site no longer exists because they want meta tags placing on the old site.

Any thoughts?

Have no idea about this … but it can take some month ( personal estimation ).
Still I don’t think this is considered duplicate content. I mean it is duplicate content but don’t think you will be penalized.
