We have a customized e-commerce website, which we want to connect with our Sage 50, I have searched but haven’t found any definite answer, I am wondering if you guys can guide me how to get started or any reading which will lead us to build a plugin for our website and sage integration . Thanks
Contact your Sage rep and see if they have any existing solutions. The way it usually works is the company (assuming they provide web services for their hardware) has an API that developers can use to code something like that. Often they only allow ‘developer partners’ access to the API. To become a partner, you often have to have a sales team that can prove that they are going to be selling the system to clients and making the company money. There is usually a lot of red tape involved. If Sage does not provide an API you may be out of luck.

‘how to get started’ = contact the rep, find out if they have an API. If they do, you’ll want the API documentation before you get any further. If not,… you sit there and stare at it.
@StarLion, I think a kid knows what API can and what can’t, please only post when it make sense.
