Rubiks cube methods

I currently do the beginners method and my fastest time is currently set in my sig (I don’t say it here because I increase my times every so often)

Anyway, I was looking into speedsolving and I notice that the fridrich method seems to be the fastest, or at least, the one currently used by the wordl record holder.

I was wondering if anyone has any better luck with finding a good video to help me learn it?

Do you solve rubiks cubes? Times? Methods?

my son eric limeback is a speedcuber (link goes to his youtube channel)

check out the video of him solving 11 cubes blindfolded – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z_DqcwYkaQ

i think he has some instructional videos up there, take a look

I showed Blake tallos over skype about my cubin and he told me about your son. I never really searched for him though.

He doesn’t do the second cube though. It’s close but…

Oh wait…he goes back to it…just saw that part…that’s ridiculous. I can solve one blindfolded but that’s it lol.

Just looked for instructional videos and I couldn’t find any?

Also Rudy, does he do the fridrich method?

you’ll have to ask him, sorry

Ah ok :). Anyone else?

[FONT=“Georgia”]Nope.

I’m sure we have a few speed solvers on here.

Well, I’m getting plenty of video results for the query “Speedcubing Fridrich Tutorial”…

I typed in “how to solve rubix cube with fridrich method video”.

I always was bad at searching :). Thanks.

Wow that’s really cool. Sounds like a product of good parenting
I thought I was awesome after spending 15 minutes while literally showering and finally solving one of these, but that just totally destroys my ego haha.

I used to be, in junior high. But that was 30 years ago.
I remember that my best time was 62 seconds, though. A mate did one in less than a minute once, but I never managed to shave off those two seconds. :-/

Ok I’ll admit I used to break the thing and re-assemble it.

Now I’ve got that rubik cube noise playing in my head… taunting me!

My time keeps improving. Currently it’s 1:30.39 (minute/seconds/milliseconds)

My friend who got me into it, his current time is 1:07.69

He does the beginner method as well, however he will do the fridrich ones he gets under a minute.

You should get back into it!

i can get all one side all yellow in 2 days…i can tell u my secret if you like…

Please do…I have always wanted to know

You’ve inspired me. I’ve just stolen my 9 year old’s cube and managed to get one side all done - now just the rest of it to go…

That is truly impressive. I’ve never seen the rubix cube solved that quick EVER.

Actually you solve a layer at a time, depending on what method you do (mine does 1 layer) but good job! now just do the rest  :D.

Edit:

Blake, I showed you me solving it on skype in 2 minutes (back when I was slower :O)

5 *&%^$ hours and I got it done
I ROCK!
