Rounded corners versus regular corners on buttons

Any opinions on the use of both type of corners on the same page for web interface? Any best practices to follow?

If you are using both together, then there would need to be some kind of consistent convention to the design regarding the function or meaning of the different shapes. So a square button does this, and a rounded button does that. Then it would serve to give visual cues to the user as to what the buttons actually do.
Eg, square could be for navigation or selection, rounded could be for submission.

I think most would suggest keeping to one or the other and keep it consistent throughout the site.

Caveat: I am not a designer…

Like @SamA74 says, consistency is key. You cannot mix and match between the two, or you’ll annoy/confuse your audience.
