Rollover Images help or hurt?

While clickable images may help in certain cases, what about assessing whether rollover images help or hurt SEO? The rollover will be placed on an image to give a ‘next continued step’

The rolloever is not as deliberate an act, of course, as a clickable image that leads to another graphic. Though not to the extreme of the popunder anyway.

What think us?

I assume you mean the rollover will be done with Javascript in which case it will not be seen.
Even so, the act of hovering over an image is a behavior SE do not do.

The rollover will be placed atop another image. The resulting image gives a furthering explanation – this is a ‘how to’ informational site.

Are you saying hovering could hurt the page? Or the Engines won’t even detect it? And yes, it is javascript

Using javascript to create rollover images will not hurt your rankings. Google will even follow links within javascript but I still recommend using the traditional <a> tag.

its still crawlable… and its not going to hurt SEO… and not a also a good point…
