Responsive websites – wearable technology with tiny screens

Just go asked by a client about wearable gadgets with tiny screens, e.g. Apple watch. They were asking about how websites would be viewable / how they would look like on devices like that.

I don’t really have come across this topic and searching online did not really give 100% answers. From what I can see, Apple Watch, for example, may not even give you the ability to browse the web. No idea about others.

What is current thinking in this area, and how might a responsive website cater for the tiniest screens? Maybe there are online resources to point me to…
