That would break the responsive nature of the iframe/video (should the page be responsive).
It is using a 16:9 aspect ratio method which is created by using percentage padding-top on a parent element and then absolutely placing the video/iframe into this element and then setting width and height of 100%. This will maintain the video aspect should the site be responsive.
