I’ve seen this recipe index and I want to replicate it on my theme. http://www.yoursunnysideup.com/recipe-index/
How do I do this?
I have the theme that this person is using but how do I find out the methods or functions I need to add, Is it as imple as that?
Can I just use a plugin or can I look into the original theme and use that method?
Or where on the internet canI find a turoial about how to do something similar?
looking forward to seeing how this is done, I’ve been thinking about it for a while now but not yet got my head around it
I am a php beginner
Are you using any out of the box solutions like Wordpress, Joomla, or Drupal? My guess would be the site uses Wordpress by the look of it. That would probably be the fastest solution for you, rather than having to build something from the ground up. Even experienced people like shortcuts, which explains the popularity of Ruby on Rails and Django, etc. It would be a lot of headache getting a site like that built from scratch for a beginner. Unless you want to do it as a learning experience, then totally go for it. But the easiest, and fastest way for you would probably be to use WP and find plugins that are already made and tested.
