Hello, moved over to wordpress however want to retain the urls from my old cms however when using plugin such as custom permalinks and inputting for example: readnews.asp?id=100704 to be used as an url wordpress/server encodes the url and the exact url that I want does not redirect to the encoded verision thus making everyhting pointless.
I have decided that the best way for me to get my old urls back would be to use custom permalink plugin and change the url to just example.com/2387454 and have htacess remove readnews.asp?id= part of the url and permanent redirect. however I have tried and have searched all over the place on a way to do this but cannot find a way.
Any help would be great thank you!
