Reining in Statistics

Hi all,

Like any business, we use lots of statistics to help guide our decisions. One of those is Google Analytics/Webmaster Tools. While these tools are great, there are caveats when looking at that data.

Now, I understand these fun little caveats that make it so you have to take the data with a grain of salt. However, most of the people in the business world don’t understand these caveats.

Does anyone have any tips for reining in these stats and putting them in a frame that makes them more useful?

A good question. I’m interested in seeing any answers that come along.
