I’m a bit stuck on this and would really appreciate some help.
Basically I had the forums of a site I run setup as a subdomain, so they were accessible at
forums.domain.com
-and-
domain.com/forums/
I have since spun out the forums into their own site with their own domain, but I just can’t get the redirection to work properly.
Currently I have an htaccess in the subdomain with a 301 redirect to the new domainforums.com and so when people go to forums.domain.com the redirection works perfectly.
The problem arises if people then visit domain.com/forums/ as they seem to get redirected to domainforums.comforums which obviously doesn’t work.
