I am trying to clean up my not found pages using Webmaster Tools. I cannot get a htacess redirect to work for this particular item. Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m not clear on what your problem is.
Your GWT shows not founds for non-existent pages?
If you try to go to a bogus URL you don’t get the Not Found page?
You changed your permalink structure and you’re having problems with some of the links?
