You could start with the book “Build Your Own Wicked WordPress Themes” from sitepoint. This book has help me understand the wordpress framework.

thanks guys I’ll take look at both of them.

I have developed a couple of plugins and themes (well taken a themes and made a child themes).

im looking to get much deeper into wordpress programming.
