I started to learn via websites before I decided to spend some hard earned on a book.

I found tizag very helpful.

Decide on something you want to design for your first project and try to stick at it.

Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS really.

I’m now attempting to create a content management system for a local photographer with PHP/MySQL.

It really is enjoyable when you get in it. Many nights seeing 2am on the clock just wanting to finish a project. :smiley:
