Radio button PopUp

I have three radio buttons, if the user selects radioBTN1, or radioBTN2, the webpage remains static. However, if the user selects radioBTN3, I would like it to launch a popup box. Is this possible to do? If so, how do I do this? Any leads would be great!!

Thank you!!!

Here is a crude example to start you on your way…

<script type="text/javascript">
function newWindow(){
var newWindow;
newWindow ="", "myWindow", "width=300,height=300");

<form id="myform">
<input type="radio" name="rb" value="1" /> 1<br />
<input type="radio" name="rb" value="2" /> 2<br />
<input type="radio" name="rb" value="3" onclick="javascript:newWindow()" /> 3<br />

Feel free to ask any questions!

thanks FFcus, works great.

Here’s another problem I’ve run into.

I have the same three radio buttons, and they are all set to unchecked. If the user selects one, is there a way of resetting them back to unselected?

Here is the breakdown.

  1. 3 radioBTNs are unselected
  2. user clicks on one and selects it
  3. the user then selects a CHECKBOX in the same form while will then reset ALL 3 radioBTNs

This i’m sure is much more complex, is it possible?

Thanks for the feedback so far!!!

Radio buttons are only set back to unselected when another entry in the same group is selected. You could try adding a hidden field with the same name as the radio button group and set that to selected to unset all of the visible buttons.

Also you don’t need to specify javascript: inside of an onclick= as the onclick already is javascript.

will this concept interfere with the form processing? do you have a quick example? I’m not sure I get it (still new at this stuff)

Yeah, that was a typo - but thanks. I’m doing too many things at once over here! :slight_smile:

Are there any other items (such as textboxes, etc) on the form? If not, you can just reset the form.
