Purchase photoshop?

I hope im posting the right section, here goes.

I have been going through a book i purchased with sitepoint, the photoshop anthology.

I come across layer comps which is currenlt not on my version of photoshop.

I was looking to purchase a new version as I am trying to update my skills in web design.

any thoughts to which is the best version to buy and where i could possibly buy it cheaper.

You can look into eBay or Amazon for the latest version of Adobe Photoshop. It ranges between $700-$800.
