Proper class syntax

I have a php class that also uses another class.

So when I refer to the members of the other class internally in the first class my syntax looks like this:

$this->classa->classmember;

Is there a better way to reference this member?

What is commonly done is to place at the start of the function a reference to such external objects.

The Bat::baz() function shows how this is done.

class Bat
{
    ...

    public function baz()
    {
        $foo = $this->_foo;
        ...
        $foo->bar();
    }
}
