I want to get better at project management. I think being more organized with this will help me get projects done more efficiently, and produce better results for my clients.
I’d like to find a book or article that outlines some good basic processes to use in Project Management. I don’t have time to study this deeply, I just need a starting point - something simple, clear and ready to put into practice. It would be absolutely fabulous if this resources was written specifically for web design/dev businesses, but I haven’t been able to find anything like that. Something more general would be fine, too.
In case it’s relevant, I don’t have employees and rarely use subcontractors. I do the usual array of stuff - website builds, rebuilds, a bit of design, some SEO, and an occasional HTML email. I do a ton of WordPress.
Any suggestions would be great.
