Problem with background image

I have this div and the css.
My problem is that footer div is at the left of the page and at the middle there is text with links.
So the links that are near the div footer can not work because background image do not allow that (when I delete that image all is ok).
How can I solve this problem?How image can be there and the links near tis div will be ok?

<div id="footer">
<div id="searchform">
	<div id="bayerischesolar"><img src="/images/agents_bayerische_solar.gif" /></div>
	<form action="/search_gr.asp?id=10&search=top" method="post" name="TopSearchForm" id="TopSearchForm" >
	<div id="searchtitle">SEARCH THE SITE</div>
	<div id="searchinput"><input name="searchkeywords" type="text"  /></div>
	<div id="searchbutton"><input name="searchbutton" type="submit" value="Ok" class="btn"></div>
<div id="footer1">
			<div id="copyright">Copyright © Innovative Solar Power Solutions &#917;&#928;&#917;, All rights reserved.</div>
			<div id="nbw">powered by <a href="" target="_blank" class="nbwlink">NBW</a></div>
#footer {
	position: absolute;
	background-image: url(../backgrounds/bottom_bg.gif)  ;
	background-repeat: no-repeat;
	background-position: bottom center ;

The text of the body is some divs with class listentry.
When there are many divs with class listentry then some goes at the division of the page for the footer class and as I understand they inherit from the footer class.How can I make listentry and footer class not to conflict?

#footer {....
.listentry {margin:0px; margin-bottom:20px;  }

I’m not sure I quite understand the problem, and the code fragments aren’t enough to show me exactly what’s wrong, there’s too much missing.

Rather than possibly wasting time answering the wrong question, could you give us a link to the actual page where you’re having this problem, so we can see everything in situ?
