PPC or SMO?

Which will be best ? Pay Per Click advertising or Social media (sharing links with content, video, image.) for instant and high traffic.?

Pay Per Click is the only “instant and high traffic” option. SM will take a lot of work and be a slow and painful process, but of course you will save money.

In my opinion none of them…The best internet marketing strategy that any webmaster should follow is SEO. If your website is at the first page in organic search results, then you won’t have to deal with paid marketing solutions. But if someone can not afford to pay for an SEO company, then both of the options you mentined above must be done simultaneously.

Hi Solushunz,

PPC and SMO will generate different results under different conditions.

Social media content sharing can be great if you are using a professional that can generate the “buzz” and keep the viral wave going; if you are not a SMO wiz yourself or don’t have one around- note that the content will be judged by its quality and that your friends in your feed might not keep it running for very long. However, most of the time, traffic you will generate from this type of campaign will be of very good quality.

In PPC you will only pay for the actual clicks that will lead to your site. So it might look like you are getting a real “traffic bump”- but a lot of time the traffic coming this way might not be of best quality- since the user might have no idea what they are clicking on. A good way to make sure this doesn’t happen is to try to keep the banner / links leading to your site as close to the actual site content as possible.

Good luck!

I think a combination between them will be best

that way you’ll have different kinds of people on your site from different sources, a lot more effective.

PPC advertising is the best methods by which you can draw qualified traffic to your site. But when you stop PPC , your site will be out rank in google. With SMO you can develop a web persona and get found based on your content and contributions. Through SMO you will get more and more traffic.

The only correct answer is “whatever works for you”.

The reason I say this is because we know nothing about your site, and even the best of us could only speculate on how well either approach would work for you. More often than not, social media simply doesn’t do anything for those who put a lot of effort in. Some hustler is probably making some serious bank on social media, and they’re more than happy to shout from the rooftops about how a single post on Hacker News has tripled their sales, but the suckers that read this and try to emulate this success may be lucky to get twelve visitors.

The pragmatic approach would be to dip your toe in both and see what returns you are getting. Do some basic social media posting as a part of your daily marketing routine, enough to fill up the gaps in your day. Also, pay for a couple of ads now and again and monitor where you succeed and where you fail. Over time, you’ll be well-informed to make your own decisions on the matter.

PPC is better option as compared to SMO, its a fact that PPC increases your budget but its the guaranteed source to generate traffic on your website and do business.

In my opinion SMO is far more better than PPC if done with proper plan.SMO doesn’t require you to invest anything other than ur time.Research about SMO thoroughly and trust me it will take you a long way.SMO is here to stay.Dedicate sometime of urs in SMO create network of targeted visitors and try to help them in some ways and build some trust among the users.Start a conversation, discuss something.Discuss about what’s going on in ur market, keep them engaged in some way or the other.People like free stuffs try to give them some free stuffs.Make sure that this doesn’t cost you much.Give stuffs that are useful to them such as a free medication guide if you are in health niche.Follow this steps clearly and you will be very successful in ur SMO.Thanks
